priority mode of suboctave generation:
green LED lit when active
priority is a unique feature for musical subbass supplement. in active mode, strings get detected for adding a ‘clean’ octave to just the lowest of the ringing bass-strings. even a chord is played, only one bass voice is generated, avoiding intermodulation within polyphonic low voices. when priority inactive, all three bass-strings get suboctaves conjoined.

Das einzigartige Octaver-Pedal

Dieses Gerät erzeugt eine zusätzliche Oktave unter den gespielten Tönen. Da der GK-Tonabnehmer (Voraussetzung) jede Saite einzeln abnimmt, kann die zusätzliche Oktave einzelnen Saiten zuordnet werden: Z.B. nur den Saiten A und E, so daß mit der Gitarre gleichzeitig Bass gespielt werden kann. Auch das Spielen von oktavierten Akkorden ist erstmals in der Geschichte der Effekte möglich. Das Pedal hat zusätzlich drei Akustikgitarren- und drei E-Gitarren-Simulationen sowie einen heftigen Distortioneffekt für oktavierte superböse Gitarrensounds im Nu-Metal-Stil! Die Tonerkennung funktioniert wie beim Roland VG-88, es gibt daher keinerlei Tracking (Anschlagsverzögerung).

Dank des GK Pickup-Eingangs ist der OC-20G Poly Octave in der Lage, Oktaven für unterschiedliche Saitenkombinationen zu erzeugen (wie beispielsweise 5. und 6. Saite), während andere Saiten unbearbeitet bleiben. So können Sie z.B. eine Gitarre-Bass-Kombination erzeugen – weltweit einmalig!

Gitarren-Simulation und Distortion

Zusätzlich stehen sechs unglaubliche Gitarren-Simulationen zur Verfügung: Drei elektrische und drei akustische. Ausserdem ist es möglich, in Kombination mit der eingebauten Distortion wirklich kreative Effekte wie z.B. einen “New-School” Metal Sound mit einem um eine Oktave nach unten transponierten Bass zu erzeugen.

1992 Paradis Avalon Nylon With Paradis Sub Bass + Flight Cases

Designed & Built by Rolf Spuler (http://www.rolfspuler.com/site/), very sadly Rolf is no longer with us. We hope that in some small way this guitar will be a testament to his genius & creativity.

From the first year of production, the guitar is #27 of only 350 ever made for worldwide distribution. It is in excellent original condition with an original Paradis Polysubbass unit & the original factory supplied guitar connection cord. The guitar also has the factory original flightcase. Everything works & the guitar sounds superb.

Frameworks 7-string and Polysubbass – paradis-guitars forums

I do have a cable Rolf Spuler gave me to use with Roland equipment – on one side the Neutrik connector, on the other end the Roland 13-pin connector.

Using my Avalon with the Polysubbass and the Polysubbass connected with this cable to a Roland GR-55 guitar synth I am able to get the amp simulations and effects of the GR-55.

However, connecting a Frameworks guitar and the Polysubbass with this cable doesn’t work.
Is it possible to use the Polysubbass with a Frameworks guitar or another guitar equipped with the Roland 13pin socket?

this is an interesting idea
it does not work now because of the supply:
– the original DIN13-Neutrik cable you mention contains no supply wire
– I use my Elegy with StringPort with a cable that has a diode in it to make sure that no one sends the 12V from the Polysubbass to some Roland equipment (which probably would not survive)
– it should be possible with a special split cable to feed a GR guitar from the Roland synth and connect the Polysubbass in parallel

but:
the Roland has a lower signal level than the Paradis, so the Polysubbass may cut the end of the bass note

but:
I just talked to Tom about creating a Polybass module that works with the Roland standard. its rather easy but not easy enough to modify the old ones.
