Paradis Avalon nylon string polyphonic electric
didnt see anything like this on a previous post and i thought maybe you all would like to get a good look at this guitar. The creator and luthier recently passed away..so sad, he was a true visionary. Rolf Spuler of Switzerland. This is the Paradis Avalon guitar. This one is made or pear tree. Only 100 or so of these were ever made. The headless version is the original “early” design. Each saddle is a separate pickup for that individual string, so there are 6 pickups. The guitar has an umbilical cable that plugs into the PloySubBass rack mount unit. This device does several things. It routes each individual string’s output to its own separate output jack, and it prioritizes the LOWEST note being played at the time to a poly sub bass processor, which drops that note by two full octaves. The PSB unit also delivers a stereo output, a mono output, an additional tuner output, but thats not all…. there is also a GK 13 pin outlet, which – in this case – drives an Axon AX100 guitar midi converter, because since all the strings are separate, you can have strings playing on the lowest strings, and a flute or piano on the high strings via a JV2080 or similar synth module. Really cool. The guitar itself is a work of art, yet absolutely functional and very sophisticated. The pointed head is actually 2 LOW frets for the low E string. There is a small thumb actuated button which acts as a ‘spike’ or ‘capo’ for the low E, which effectively makes it an instant Drop D tuning mechanism, the difference being your chord fingering doesnt have to change!

That low E extension is actually an idea adapted from bass viol – there’s an extension device made for bass viols that does the same thing with (IIRC) keys similar to those found on a sax or clarinet to stop the string for the low notes. Been awhile since I saw one though….

Ich habe solch eine Godin durch mein Musiker-Freund kennengelernt und finde diese eigentlich super zum spielen, langer Hals, Saiten liegen näher am Griff, einfach geschmeidig…naja da wollte ich eine eigene und habe mir zu meinem Geburtstag eine eigene Godin erstanden (ein kurzer Moment der Schwäche).
Da ich sie doch kaum nutze, ist das Behalten sinnlos und auch Verschwendung. Ich glaube diese Godin gehört in die Hände eines richtigen Gitarristen und auch auf die Bühne, für mich eher zu professionell. Diese Godin ist eines der teuersten im Sortiment, der Neupreis solch eines İnstrumentes auf dem deutschen Markt beträgt ca 2000€. Prägend ist der Piezotonabnehmer.
Ich habe einige Bilder, das Gerät ist aus meiner Sicht in einem makelosen Zustand. Orginal-Tasche ist auch dabei, neuwertig. Original Versand-Karton habe ich auch noch im Keller.

Johnson Resonatorgitarre, Metallkorpus, ab Werk schwarz lackiert. Es wurden nachträglich ein Piezo und ein Shadow Mag Pickup eingebaut. Diese können über eine Monobuchse abgerufen werden und sind mischbar. Der Piezo arbeitet passiv, der Mag aktiv. Für den Mag wurde ein Batteriefach installiert, 9 Volt, Potis für Volumen und Piezopower.
Zusätzlich ist ein Roland G3 Pickup installiert, mit dem man über ein 13-Pin Kabel einen Gitarrensynthesizer ansteuern kann. MIt meinem Roland Gr 55 funktioniert das tadellos. Das Klinkenkabel zwischen Gitarrenbuchse und Roland-Pickup lege ich bei. Es sind drei Johnson-Standard und drei Locking-Mechaniken von einer koreanischen Firma angebracht. Der Sattel ist aus Knochen und nachträglich angebracht worden. Die Saitenlage ist für Standardspiel eingestellt, ich habe die Gitarre in Standardstimmung gespielt. Der Hals ist kerzengerade, die Bünde haben keine Macken. Die Gitarre klingt gut, spielt sich leicht, durch die verschiedenen Tonabnehmer kann der Klang zusätzlich in viele Richtungen gestaltet werden. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Roland Gr 55 ist das Tracking und die Ansprache über den Gk 3 sehr gut. Verkauft wird die Dobro, weil ich im Grunde nur noch mit meinen Ibanez Artcores, auch mit Gk ausgerüstet spiele. Alles weitere, siehe Fotos, oder Fragen stellen!!!!!!

This guitar is in great condition and comes with gig bag and tremolo. Still has all the original plastic from when it was new on the pickguard and other covers. Only has one single mark on the rear edge of the guitar (see pics), otherwise it’s like new. Weight is 7 pounds, 12 ounces.

A jack-of-all-trades, and master of all of them, the xtSA’s incredible sound power begins with three distinct voices: electric guitar, acoustic guitar and synth controller.The xtSA delivers big time electric sounds via the Godin humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration and thanks to a special 5-way switch setup extra meaty humbucker tones co-exist with glassy split-coil sounds in the second and forth position. Turn down the electric output and raise the volume on the RMC transducer saddles and the xtSA becomes an incredibly authentic-sounding ‘acoustic’ guitar. The acoustic voice of the xtSA is enhanced by an onboard preamp with a three-way graphic EQ. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. The icing on the xtSA cake comes in the form of its synth tracking, which simply put, is the best in the business. As with all of Godin synth-ready instruments, a built-in 13-pin connector provides direct access to all Roland GR-Series synths as well as most other 13-pin devices.
All of this sound power would be a lot less interesting if the guitar didn’t feel great and great is exactly how the xtSA feels thanks to the same 25½” scale, mahogany neck used on the Godin flagship LGX-SA guitar.
